Application Procedures (on web site)

(1)Qualification for application

Applicants for presentation must be a JSCE member at the time of application. (If you have JSCE's ID number but are currently under inactive status [such as suspended delivery of JSCE journal due to your payment being in arrears] you are ineligible to apply. In that case, ask at the Membership Section, JSCE Secretariat.) If you are not a member of JSCE, then please visit our homepage: Outline for applying the membership (http://www. jsce .or.jp) and complete the membership procedure* not later than Tuesday February 28, 2006 (the membership application form is available on the web site). If sent by snail mail, applications received by JSCE by that date will be accepted. On-line application will not be available after the deadline. Applications from members of the agreed 24 overseas organizations (as listed on here) will be accepted as JSCE members.

If you have completed the procedures for membership in JSCE by the deadline above and have not been given a membership ID number at the time of application for presentation, please contact the Membership Section, JSCE Secretariat below.

We request you apply for membership well ahead of the closing date since a large volume of clerical processing is expected toward the deadline date of application for presentation.

* To apply for membership, you need to submit the application form by snail mail or in person to the JSCE Secretariat, Membership Section with the attachment of a copy of the receipt of membership fee issued by a bank (or when a remittance is sent by postal transfer, a copy of the “payment slip and receipt” thereof).
