THE RESEARCH ON REFLECTIVE CRACKING INHIBITION EFFECT USING STRESS ABSORBING MEMBRANE INTERLAYER

The crack is caused on the surface of the overlay layer at an early stage by the movement of the pavement with the temperature change in the pavement and the traffic load. Using the Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) for the middle layer as a method of delaying the crack generated on the surface of this overlay layer. To understand the effect of overlay using the SAMI, the examination by which the movement by the traffic load and the temperature in the direction by horizontal shearing movement was simulated and evaluated. As a result, the effect of high stress absorbing by SAMI became clear for the movement of horizontal direction based on the temperature.
