The JSCE established two committees in 2016, and in 2018, and concrete library 151 "Guidelines for designing and constructing concrete using ground granulated blast furnace slag "
and concrete library 152 "Design and Construction Guidelines (Draft) for Concrete Structures Using A Large Amount of Supplementary cementing materials(SCMs)" were published.
In response to this report, this committee was established with the intention of further promoting its use.

| The necessity of activities to achieve a sustainable society have increased even in the field of concrete. Last year, annual joint seminar organized by Concrete Committee of JCSE and Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, was held under the theme of "current situations and maintenance technologies for concrete structures". Dr. Wanchai, professor of Kasetsart University, who is co-organizer of the last joint seminar, explains current situation of recycled aggregate in Thailand. |
