| The latest version of JSCE Standard Specifications was introduced at the IABSE-fib Joint Conference |
| Joint IABSE-fib Conference was conducted from 3rd to 5th in May in Cavtat, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Croatia. The main objective of the Conference is to obtain an overview of the present state of codes worldwide including the underlying legal and economical aspects in order to achieve international interaction and co-operation for standardization. The some of JSCE concrete committee members participated in the conference and introduced Japanese standards as the following titles. |

| In 2007, JSCE concrete board committee established a sub-committee on design and practice for fly ash concrete to further promote the effective use of fly ash in accordance with the performance-based design. The subcommittee will report the activity of six working groups at regular intervals in a newsletter in 2009 and 2010. This is a final topic. |
