【抄録】 ネットワーク下での地理情報の共有は、組織内のデータ利用のみならず災害時のデータ共有など今後のGIS活用の重要な課題である。本研究では地理情報のネットワーク共有の鍵となるウェブおよびクライアント・サーバ技術を応用した統合的なGIS利用環境を開発した。これにより、従来個別の端末に分散しがちだった地理情報をサーバで一元管理し、クライアントからのリクエストに応じた地理情報の表示や統計分析が可能となった。本論文では、従来のGISの問題点を明らかにしたうえで両ネットワーク技術の特質を活かしたシステム構築の要件を整理し、具体的なシステム構築、応用例および今後の課題について述べる。
<Abstract> Geographic data sharing under the network environment is crucial matter not only in the organization but also among organizations especially when disasters occur. In this study, integrated environment of GIS using Web and Client-Server, which are the key technologies of network, was developed. This system enables consistent geographic data management on the GIS server which displays maps, geographic data and statistical analysis according to the requests from clients. In this paper, controversial points of conventional GIS are cleared. System requirement, system development, examples of applications and future problems are discussed.
