【抄録】 　最近、衛星データの利用を対象としたデータセットの構築の事例が多く見られるようになってきた。しかし、衛星データと地理・社会データの融合利用を前提としたデータセットについての議論は多くない。筆者らは、衛星データと地理・社会データを用いた数多くの研究事例から、衛星データと地理・社会データを融合利用することによって生成した各種の情報を効果的に蓄積し、画像データベースの検索・編集機能を通じて要領良く再利用できる「データセット」の構築について取り組んできた。本文は、�@衛星データと地理・社会データの融合利用についての基本的な考え方、�Aデータセットを構築する際に必要となる機能と留意事項、�Bデータセットを支えるハードウエアとソフトウエアに具備される基本的な機能、および�Cデータセットの応用事例について紹介する。
<Abstract> This paper discussed the data set division and its application methods based on the mixed use of satellite remote sensing data, geographical and social data. As an example, the data set designed in this study was presented. The summaries of this study are as follows:1)The basic concept on the mixed use methods of satellite remote sensing, geographical and social data was described. 2)Many functions to constitute the data set were developed. 3)The basic lineup for hardware and software system in case of data set construction was shown. 4)As a example of application use the data set designed in this system, land use capability classification and evaluation were carried out.
