In estimating surface seismic motion for a large area, simple methods multiplying seismic motion in the basement layer by acceleration response spectra ratio as ground motion amplification is often used. On system of urban Gas Corporation of estimating earthquake damage, database with response spectra ratio on each mesh is constructed in advance, and response spectra ratio is defined by level and character of seismic motion on the basement layer.
