Overview of Subcommittes
Under the CCEO, a couple of subcommittees are currently organized to cover specifc research topics, to edit and publish the journal, and consider its future reformation. Subcommittees are flexibly established dependent on necessity and will be scrapped when their missions are accomplished.

The Reformation Subcommittee
The reformation subcommittee is a place where junior engineers and scientists make discussions on the future of ocean engineering and the CCEO. This subcommitte was established in 2006 and will be closed at the end of the fiscal year of 2007 after reporting ideas on the matter. The subcommitte welcomes your constructive opinions.

The Journal Editorial Subcommittee
The journal editorial subcommittee is a permanent subcommittee for publication of the annual journal including call for papers and selction of papers based on peer-review policy.

Research Subcommittees
Research subcommittees are organized to consider specifc research topics, including advancement of important themes adopted in the special sessions of the annual symposium, collaborating with well-informed scientists and engineers. Their outcomes will be published as a research report or a technical manual. Currently, two research subcommittees are in action as shown below.

Research Subcommittee on Oceanic Deep Water Tranfer into Enclosed Coastal Seas
Funded by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation, the subcommettee on oceanic deep water transfer into enclosed coastal seas has been established since July, 2007. The subcommittee covers wide range of topics associated with water transfer system using pipes or tunnels for the purpose of disaster prevention, environmental conservation or industrial and public utilization.
