企画テーマ 企画テーマ(英訳)	低炭素交通システム実現への挑戦 Challenges to realizing low carbon transport systems
企画概要	地球温暖化問題は，京都議定書対応を越えて，長期的に大幅な温室効果ガス削減を図ることの重要性が認識され，その政策が展開されつつある．土木計画学分野でも，環境モデル都市をはじめとする，低炭素都市づくりやEST（環境的に持続可能な交通）を推進する取り組みをサポートするための調査研究が求められている． 本セッションでは，日本における低炭素交通システムのかたち，その実現に向けた具体的な方策，および交通システムのCO2排出評価や削減策の効果分析手法などに関する研究発表を通じて，今後この分野でいかなる取り組みが必要か を議論することを目的とする．
企画概要(英訳)	General recognition of the measures for mitigating global warming is beyond the achievement of Kyoto Protocol target. Importance of aiming at the vast reduction of greenhouse gases for a long term is commonly shared and some related policies are developed. In the field of infrastructure and urban planning, promotion of low carbon cities and EST (Environmentally Sustainable Transport) including identification of "environment model cities" by Japanese Government are greatly intended. Hence, it is necessary to conduct researches and studies to support their tackles. In this session, researches on the shape of low carbon transport systems, policies and measures for its realization, methods to evaluate carbon dioxide emissions and effects of its reduction by policy implementations are expected. Moreover, it will be discussed how we should tackle these problems.
