企画テーマ 企画テーマ(英訳)	ソフト面から見た自転車交通対策や利用者の意識 Bicycle traffic countermeasures in planning and awareness of riders
企画概要	近年環境問題から都市交通に自転車を取り入れる動きが世界的に活発化している。しかしわが国では８千万台以上にも上る自転車がありながら自転車が通れる空間が整備されていないというハード面の問題のほか、計画面の未整備や通行ルールの欠如に見られる利用者の意識などソフト面の問題も多い。ここでは自転車の需要予測、自転車道のネットワーク計画の作成手法、自転車利用者の意識、貸し自転車などの利用形態、冬期の自転車利用、自転車の交通安全、自転車教育、通行ルールのあり方などについて討議し、都市内の自転車交通のあり方を探るものである。なお本セッションでは主として計画面、意識面に焦点を当てた議論を行うこととする。
企画概要(英訳)	Recently bicycle transportation in urban area has been promoted because of the environmental reason in world wide. However in Japan, who has more than 80 million bicycles, has many problems concerning bicycle transportation. One is lack of bicycle lane, and the other is lack of planning, traffic rules and social awareness for use of bicycle. In this session, estimation of traffic demand, bicycle network, awareness of rider, rental bike system, use of bicycle in winter season, traffic safety, education, and traffic rule will be discussed. The focus is mainly on planning field.
